Bibs can only be picked up at the Event Hub. To pick up for any events on Saturday, you can do this on Friday after completing the Queenie Rogaine. Queenie Rogaine maps should be picked up by 6pm. Bib pick-up for Sunday events can be done on Saturday afternoon, or Sunday morning. Please refer to the detailed schedule for specific timing.

No. All mandatory gear should be brought with you. Given the remote location, you can expect that none of the mandatory gear will be available to buy at the event, except for generic items like snake bandages & emergency bags.

Be ready for anything. It’s unlikely we’d postpone, but some routes may be re-routed to avoid alpine areas or flooding creeks, and you will be notified at earliest opportunity of any changes.

No, but they do contain serious hazards and a potential risk of a fatal fall on exposed ridgelines. You need existing experience and confidence with exposure to heights and easy scrambling on exposed ridgelines. Technical rock climbing skills are not required.

Yes. There may be random spot checks on course and at the finish line. Anyone found without an item of mandatory gear will not be able to continue until they have all mandatory gear. Penalties or disqualification in rare circumstances may be applied and the Run Director’s determination is final.

Yes at each aid station. If you must go on course, leave your run pack on the side of the track so sweepers do not leave you behind, dig a 15cm deep hole and fully bury, or carry out all waste.

Water, electrolytes, fruit, lollies, salty snacks, toilets, first aid, sunscreen, phone charging, sanitary products, drop bags (Chamouni only), and of course, friendly volunteers!

Yes. Cut offs are in place to keep everyone safe. The Mt Lyell Skyrun 50km cut offs have been designed to ensure that all runners, volunteers and course crew can all be clear of the more remote sections of the course by the end of the day. The weather on the West Coast can change quickly, and the terrain is a challenge. Cut off times for all other DIVERGE events are designed to be fair and reasonable for all, including slower runners. If your departure from an aid station is after the cut off time, you will be unable to continue for safety reasons.

Yes there will be parking in Queenstown but please abide by the signs. If you stay in Queenstown, there’s a high chance you will be able to walk to the Event Hub/start line.
