This isn't just a training camp. It isn't just a sightseeing tour. It's an invitation to get properly amongst it.
In January 2027, we’re taking the DIVERGE experience beyond event weekend. This is Camp DIVERGE.
Your adventure starts with a private charter flight, from either Melbourne or Hobart. Fly directly onto the Queenstown runway, looking straight at the dominating Mt Owen. It's the start of four unforgettable days exploring the ridgelines, trails and landscapes of the West Coast that make DIVERGE what it is.
Run rocky trails. Scramble over ancient terrain. Explore remote corners of the West Coast. Discover the landscapes, stories and characters that make this one of the most extraordinary places to run in Australia.
We'll take you into all of the most spectacular parts of the DIVERGE courses — places that you might just run through on race day, but deserve a pause to be properly experienced.
Along the way: West Coast stories, great food, plenty of laughs and a few adventures that definitely don't fit into any other itinerary.
This is DIVERGE with the volume turned up. Come for the adventure. Let the experience change you.

Skyrunning is inherently dangerous and is not for the faint of heart, or for the unprepared. The course traverses some exposed and isolated alpine ridgelines where a fall in some places could result in serious injury or death, and wild weather can be expected. Experience and confidence with exposure to heights, and scrambling using hands and feet, is essential. Technical rock climbing skills are not required. You are required to self assess your skills and experience, and decide yourself if you have what it takes to tackle the wild mountains of the West Coast.
FAQs
Anyone who is comfortable in the mountains and exposure to heights, can jog 10km, and has a decent thirst for wild adventures!
You might be:
- 2027 entrants who want to recce the course/s. This is the best training ground there is.
- 2026 entrants who want to go deeper. Who want a more intimate/immersive experience and to hear more stories.
- Skyrunning curious trail runners.
- Bushwalkers/hikers who want to go light and agile. The best kept secret of trail/sky running is you don’t actually run uphill.
Yes, the minimum age for Camp DIVERGE is 18.
The charter flight will divert to Strahan and transfers will connect there. In the unlikely event of fog at the Strahan Airport, we may need to divert to an alternate airport. No matter where we land, we'll get picked up.
It is summer, so could be 30+ degrees and full sun. Or an Antarctic cold front could blow in and we could get blizzards. And anything in between.

Be ready for anything. Skyrunning is meant to be seriously adventurous but avoiding the alpine and exposed ridgelines is probably a good idea in dangerous weather. We can also switch days and amend courses as required. Our risk-based approach will take the relevant factors into consideration to enable the best possible DIVERGE experience, in almost any weather conditions.
Excellent plan. We are staying in 2 and 3 bedroom cottages and can arrange the accommodation to suit groups where possible. Discounted couples and twin share rooms are available.
There are no shorter run options for the Airfields 10km or Lyell’s 17km runs in good weather. The Owen’s 22km can be shortened, by finishing either at the Mt Owen Aid Station (after 10.5km) or at Chamouni Aid Station (after 17.6km). Of course if you become injured or otherwise need to get off course ASAP, we’ll switch into rescue mode to sort that out for you.
Yes, there is an option for a small number of West Coasters (locals) to join the Camp. This will include all aspects of the camp except the charter flights and accommodation. Please contact us to express interest.
You can view our registration and refund policies here.
Final confirmation date of going ahead is planned to be 1 December 2026. If we cancel due to minimum participants not being met, you will be provided a full refund, including booking fees.
Run Coaches
Lincoln Quilliam
Lincoln loves exploring and immersing in the wild landscapes of Lutruwita/Tasmania. Lincoln’s coaching centres on confidence, curiosity, and the mental adaptability needed to thrive in wild places. He focuses on navigating uncertainty, managing expectations, and building comfort in challenging terrain.
As the DIVERGE Run Director (RD), Lincoln spent extensive time roaming and connecting with West Coast locals during the course design, groundtruthing, and trail work phases. For him, Tasmania doesn't get much more wild than the West Coast!
Lincoln loves trail events for the way they celebrate the community around the trails. He typically finishes around the 30th percentile and gravitates toward steeper, technical skyrunning type terrain. A Civil Engineer by trade, he’s the founder and RD of Trail Ventures (DIVERGE Skyruns, Kunanyi Mountain Run, and the Kunanyi Trail Series). The future pinnacle of his coaching life is simply seeing his two young kids froth on wild trails as much as he does.
Maggie Lennox
Maggie is a Tasmanian trail runner, cyclist and lifelong lover of the outdoors. Her connection with the trails started as a child, spending weekends bushwalking and exploring Tasmania’s incredible landscapes. Maggie is an endurance athlete with a passion for trail running, cycling and challenging herself across varied and technical terrain. Her highlights include winning the National Golden Trail Series in 2024 and finishing 3rd at the GPT 50km in 2025. While she loves the challenge and competition of racing, it’s the adventure, exploration and time spent in the mountains that keeps her coming back to the trails.
Maggie brings her background as a teacher into her guiding, and loves helping people build confidence, develop their skills and discover what they’re capable of on the trails. She completed two DIVERGE clinics last year and loves being part of the DIVERGE community - she's excited to be back for the 4-day Camp as a guide. For Maggie, trail running is about much more than racing. It’s about exploring wild places, challenging yourself, sharing the experience with others and having a lot of fun along the way.
